Come join the EnviroEagles

23 03 2011

So who is staying after school tomorrow to the let their kiddos get a little energy out on the playground.  Well after they play for a bit we would love to have you join us in Ms. Stringfellow’s room at 4pm.  Her room is the first room on the right when you come into the new building.

The EnviroEagles club was started this year by Ms. Stringfellow.  Here is her mission for the club:

“The EnviroEagles is a campus-based environmental awareness and service group. Our mission is to empower students to make positive, grassroot change in their community. We strive to green our common spaces, promote preservation and have fun.”

This year we have met 3 times since the group started.  We usually meet about once a month.  The meetings or more like a social gathering really.  Just a time to come together and appreciate our surroundings and take a little time to respect it and clean it up.  Tomorrow will be a great way to prepare for all the major cleaning and repairing that will be going on here Saturday.

We will be picking up trash around campus so if you have gloves you would like to bring that would be great.

The next meeting will be April 22nd and we will be doing something special in honor of Earth Day.  I will definitely let you know more details when I have them!
